A disc is the soft tissue between the bones of the spine. This tissue is a fibrous ligament. The disc is not just floating in space between the bones. The disc is attached to the bone above and below it by soft tissue fibers. The disc is a ligamentous, fibrous, cartilage. Of all the anatomical structures in the spine, the disc is the most prone to injury.
When the disc is injured, it will do 4 things:
1) It will swell.
2) It will weaken.
3) It will bulge or herniate.
4) It will dehydrate and thin.
After all this happens the process will repeat, but this time with an even weaker more susceptible disc. As this process happens again and again, symptoms may come and go causing the person to think the problem is gone. Unfortunately the problem is there, but the body is just compensating giving a false sense of security. This process can occur over and over for weeks or even years and the whole time the spinal structures are degenerating and becoming harder to repair.
The problem in all of these scenarios is the way that this disc dysfunction affects the structures around it. When the disc swells, it causes the surrounding nerves to be squeezed and the surrounding muscles to spasm. This causes a spinal shift and pain. When the disc weakens it is much more likely to bulge or herniate causing direct nerve or spinal cord pressure that is unrelenting and disabling for a time. When the disc dehydrates or thins, the holes in the spine where the nerves exit become too small and cause boney nerve pressure causing pains and dysfunctions in distant parts of the body such as arms, hands, legs and feet.
The discs in the spine are fully capable of healing when they are damaged. Unfortunately, in most cases they don’t heal properly and there is a reason for this lack of proper healing. The reason they don’t heal properly is gravity and the effects of gravity on the spinal structures. You see in order for a person to have any rigidity to the spinal structures and to be able to sit or stand upright the spinal muscles must have tone and squeeze the spinal bones together. This rigid, but flexible spine is the anchor for all other structures of the body to attach to to allow for upright posture and movement.
This blessing of gravity and resultant muscle tone can also be a curse for someone with a spinal disc injury. This squeezing of muscle tone surrounding the joints and allowing for upright posture is also the reason that the injured disc cannot heal properly. The squeezing keeps the bulged or herniated part from healing. In order to heal a disc long term the effects of gravity on the muscles must be eliminated over a period of time. This elimination of tone around the joint will allow the disc to reenter its normal confines and heal normally.
The technology exists to fix this long term and to decrease pain quickly. I have this technology in my office. This treatment is actually a combination of 2 treatment techniques and technologies. One is the Magnesphere and the other is the DRX9000.

How long does a session last?
Your initial sessions typically last for 60 minutes, after you’ve determined what kind of benefit the Device provides you can then adjust your session times to better fit your schedule.
How long does a patient have to be involved with these sessions?
This really depends upon your health condition and symptoms you’re trying to improve. Some conditions are chronic (sometimes they’ve been with you for many years) and therefore may take several weeks to determine if the sessions may help, some are not and patients may feel better very quickly. Like most natural methods of improving your health (e.g. eating healthier meals, or beginning a new workout regimen), the technology requires a level of commitment on your part to determine how much we can help you. Ultimately, you’ll be the best judge of how long and how often.
Are relaxation sessions covered by Medicare or Insurance?
No, the technology and services are forms of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) and are therefore cash pay services that are not reimbursed. Magneceutical

How do I know this works?

What is the Theory of Operation (or Mechanism)?
Based upon studies at the University of Oklahoma’s Heart Rhythm Institute involving our technology. Our low-level electromagnetic field appears to be stimulating the Vagus Nerve (which runs throughout the body), and bring about a change in the balance of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). The balancing act between the Sympathetic branch (“fight or flight”) and the Parasympathetic branch (“rest and digest”) of the ANS is measured by Heart Rate Variability (HRV) a biomarker for the ANS. An imbalance in the ANS can make the symptoms of disease or chronic conditions worse. HRV as monitored from an individual’s heartbeat, is a real-time indicator of both cardiovascular health and general well-being.

I am a spinal disc injury expert. I was hoping to write a brief post that may help to inform people about the misconceptions about disc bulges, disc herniations, related spinal stenosis, nerve pressure and pain. Most people have been told that disc herniations need surgery or pain management medications or shots in the spine. This is simply not true. Discs of the spine are living tissue and they can heal. The reason why they do not heal on their own is gravity. Yes that is true, the thing that keeps our spinal muscles toned and healthy is also the thing that keeps the discs from healing without any intervention. The discs are the soft fibrocartilage that resides between the vertebral bodies in the spine. A spinal joint is made of two vertebrae and one intervertebral disc between the two vertebrae. This joint structure is held together by muscles and ligaments. It is these multiple joints that make up the structural part of the spine. Gravity keeps the muscles of the spinal joints holding a certain tone in order to keep our spines upright and gives us good posture. Without gravity our spinal muscles would weaken and become very dysfunctional and we could not have normal healthy posture. This gravity that keeps us healthy by holding muscles in a certain tone is also the reason why our discs cannot heal. With that muscle tone comes joint compression. Joint compression is fine when the soft tissues of the spine(discs) are healthy. When there is disc injury the compression or muscle tone doesn’t allow for normal healing. These discs can only heal in a negative pressure. Imagine this, you have a cut on your arm and keep aggravating it by rubbing it, scratching it, picking at it, just plain irritating it all the time. It won’t heal properly. The disc in the spine is the same. With muscle tone and compression comes constant irritation. The disc can never heal. What most people don’t know is that there is equipment now (DRX9000) that achieves decompression at the injured disc and joint space without drugs or surgery. This decompression over a series of treatments allows the disc to heal much more normally. This gives a long term correction of the problem.
